Product Review: Benelli Super Black Eagle II

I have owned a Benelli Super Black Eagle II (SBEII) for about three seasons now. This is my all around go to gun. This is a great lightweight shotgun. Out of the box, this gun does not cycle light loads well. However, once broken in, this gun will cycle all loads very fast. I have had to count the number of shells laying on the ground to know how many times I pulled the trigger, it shoots that fast. The gun's finish is very durable. My gun has the MAX-4 camo finish and it has held up well in saltwater, mud, and jon boats. This gun is sensitive to oil buildup though. Do not make the mistake of having excess oil in the gun on a cold morning, it will freeze. Overall, I have no complaints with this gun except the price tag. But, you do get what you pay for. If you are looking for a way to spend $1400-$1600, then I would suggest spending it on a Benelli. Benelli's performance and innovations in the SBEII are hard to top.
